This brand-new donghua was recently announced during the iQiyi Animation World Conference held on April 23, 2025. The animation is an action, fantasy, and comedy genre donghua series. The animation “Nine Suns of Martial God” or 九阳武神 is adapted from the novel of the same name written by Wo Chi Bread, directed by Zhang Defang and Yang Lidong, with Zhong Lin as the screenwriter and Xingyi Kaichen as producer.
The story is set in a martial arts world that tells the story of Ye Yunfeim, the youngest Heavenly Emperor of the Hongmeng Realm, who was attacked and killed during his tribulation. He was reborn in his youth with the aid of the Chaos Reincarnation Technique and began cultivating the Nine Yang Scripture to open the Chaos Divine Meridian and defy fate.
He reunited with family and lover, and faced with everything familiar, the once-mighty Heavenly Emperor Ye Yunfei chose to start anew. In pursuit of a higher level of martial arts, Ye Yuanfei leaves his hometown and embarks on a new journey, ultimately becoming a Heavenly Emperor.
The animation “Nine Yang Martial God” has already passed censorship for 2 chapters, containing a total of 10 episodes, as follows:
Nine Suns of Martial God season 1 – 5 episodes
Nine Suns of Martial God season 2 – 5 episodes
As of now, only 10 episodes have cleared censorship, though this is unlikely to be the final count. According to the Douban listing, the animated series “Nine Suns of Martial God” is expected to have 20 episodes. However, the final episode total will ultimately depend on the official announcement from the production team.
The animation ” Nine Suns of Martial God” or “Jiu Yang Wu Shen” is being produced by iQIYI Animation with the well-known Animation Studio – Xingyi Kaichen.
